February 28, 2011 - Mons Klint

Kære Familie, (Yes I am finally caught up - it was a productive day.  A lot of school and the blog I wish everyday could be like this!!)

Things actually went really good this week!!!!  It started off with one of the coolest members in the ward who is a two year convert who invited us to teach his friend.  He picked us up Monday night and drove us to his house in the boonies.  We pull up to the house and it is MASSIVE!!!!!  I like wanted to cry cause it was so American like.  It had a garage with a remote opener (who'd have thought I would miss those but most of the garages here are just manual to open them) and it had that subdivision house smell (I don't know if you know what I mean).  But Yeah, I got way trunky and missed the states a ton that night.  But the lesson went good.  The next two days were devoted to knocking on doors.  We were able to get a bunch of new investigators that we plan on visiting this week.  On Thursday, we had District Meeting at Møns Klint.  They are these cliffs overlooking the ocean and they are way cool.  They best way to describe them is that they look like the White Cliffs of Dover in England like in Robin Hood.  Zone Leaders then came on splits the next day and that was a lot of fun.  We were also able to teach a bunch of lessons with them which was good.  Then on Sunday, this random girl came to church.  It was way awesome, cause she is the neice of one of our members and he never told her anything about the church.  She had been interested for a long time and since he wouldn't tell her anything, she decided that she needed to come and find out for her self.  Booyahh!!!  So we have an appointment to teach her this week and she is way positive!!!  She stayed and talked to almost every member of the ward!  It was way cool cause now she's got like 50 fellowshippers that will help her and make her feel welcome!

Ok that was my awesome week.  I also gave my first spiritual thought in Danish where I didn't stumble at all.  I said exactly what I wanted to say and they understood which was also a plus.

So a little bit for fun I would like to do a comparison.  Æ. Mauler and I have decided that one of the most historically accurate movies in the world is............The Best Two Years!  To explain I would like to make a comparison.  First: The Mail scene.  Where they are wrestling.  Ok we weren't wrestling but one day Mauler decided to tease me and hold the letters away from me so it nearly turned into a wrestle, but the anticipation for mail is just as big as in the movie.  No exaggeration.

2. The scene where Johnson goes to beat up the couple walking in the square.  Æ. Mauler said that when you're out for that long you get that urge everytime you see a couple.  (I haven't gotten there yet).

3. Ghetto apartments.  See previous emails for further details.

4. Getting so excited over good appointments and baptismal dates!  (so true)

Part two maybe coming next week as I think of more but thats all for today.  Hope you continue to have a good week and love and miss ya tons!!!
