Hej med jer!
It was an ok week. The week was fast, but we didn't get that much work done in our own area. It was so cold this week. It got down to about -17 Celsius so a little over 0 F, and it snowed. Nobody would listen to us in the streets. So we started the week off by making a Zone report for Zone Leader Council. We need to call every area in the Zone and see how their investigators are doing and how we can help them - companionship or apartment concerns, etc. So we did that Tuesday since we didn't really have anything else, and that took most of the day.
Then on Wednesday, Æ. Koop and Larkin (Assisstants) came on Splits. That was pretty good. Not too much exciting there.
Thursday we went on Splits with Amager with Tolman and froze our patooties off. Later that night, Tolman got a knife pulled on him, while they were knocking so that was a little scary, but all's good now.
Friday, we had Zone Leader Council. Elder Jose Texierea from the 70 was there. That was really nerve racking. A few months before I came, he held a mission conference and scolded the missionaries with the motto, be more like Brazil, and railed on them for not having as many baptisms as Brazil. So I was pretty nervous going into this thing, but it wasn't that bad. He mostly talked about how we could be better leaders. He had some ideas that seemed almost too simple, like pray more. I talked to Elder Willden afterwards about it and he's just like he doesn't realize how much I've prayed not even for a baptism and nothing comes of it. I kind of agree, praying can't take away the people's agency, but maybe open up more for blessings, so why not try it.
Last night we stopped by Vanessa and Christopher. Christopher is from France while Vanessa is Danish. They have a sweet 10 year old daughter and they are super cool. They pray every night to see if the Book of Mormon is true and Vanessa really wants her daughter Monica to be baptized in our church. They said that they are going to try and come this week so we are super excited about that! Love and miss you all! Have a great week!
William
