Hey guys,
How was your week? Things were ok here. As far as work goes, it was down right terrible. So on Tuesday, we went to Copenhagen around noonish. The other two took the car with the Despains. They called 10 minutes after I left to say that my box was there, but of course!!! The ride down was pretty good. I hung out with Elder Wright and Sister Moore the whole way, so that was fun. We stayed in the Assisstant's apartment that night. There were 8 of us in that tiny apartment and another 10 in the office. We were driven to the conference early the next morning. Something that I had forgotten until we got there was that it was President and Sister Andersen's last Zone Conference. It was really emotional and Elder Jensen being there kind of got drowned out by that. But Elder Jensen was pretty good. He talked alot about teaching and how to help investigators hold commitments. There was one thing that was really interesting that he talked about, about learning the context of the sections in the Doctrine and Covenants. He used D&C 4 as an example. How it was sent to Joseph Sr. during one of the hardest times of Joseph's life. The translation of the Book of Mormon had stopped because of the loss of the 116 pages and he had just lost his first son. So it gave a whole new meaning when you looked at like that.
On Tuesday, I woke up with a really bad sore throat and runny nose. Then on Wednesday, I had a pretty big fever. It lasted until Friday, so that made the week also pretty slow. On Saturday, Elder Pierson and I went and played soccer with the ward. Man, I suck at soccer! Oh well, it was a fun and it's nice getting to know the ward.
