Confidence is contagious. So is a lack of confidence. - Vince Lombardi

Hej med jer.

How was ya'll's week?  It was pretty good over here, can't complain at least.  We had a better week teaching and getting appointments, so that was nice!  I've also started something, by sending cool quotes I found during the week in the subject, so I hope you can enjoy those.  But it was relatively quiet.  We had splits with the Allerød Elders which was pretty fun.  I was with Elder Larsen here in Søborg and I was laughing almost the whole time, he's just a hilarious kid.  So that was a lot of fun.  We also had a district work day in Slagelse.  It's always really trippy being back there.  It brought some unwelcome memories because I just thought of all the not success I had last year contacting.  We didn't give out a single Book of Mormon.  The sisters are having a way hard time finding new people and holding onto them.  I think their main problem is they have basically ignored all of the old investigators.  I mean when you're contacting and knocking day after day, you gotta realize that you need to do something else, so you could just go to the people who have already showed an interest once.

Elder Jones and I are getting along great.  He is starting to be my favorite companion.  He's just a way cool guy.  I'm really glad that we got put together.  This ward might be one of my favorites.  It has soooo many cool cool families in it and they love the missionaries.  Now we just need them to give us referrals!

Let's see what else did we do this week.  We got back in contact with Louise.  I don't know if you can remember her back from when I first got here.  She was a nonmember wife of a less active that we accidently knocked into.  We met with them again on Thursday and they had a ton of excuses why they couldn't come to church.  Because our church is at 2pm, their daughter is sleeping, so they don't want to interrupt her nap.  But miracle of miracles, she came to church yesterday.  It was way awesome!!!  Other than that it was a pretty quiet week.  This week, we've got splits in Nykøbing, Zone Conference and  that's it.  :)  Sorry this email isn't that good.  I've gotta have a list of things I wan to write otherwise I forget.  But love and miss ya'll tons.  Have a great week!

Hej med jer,

Well I've  got a new companion now.  Elder Jones is way cool.  He's very  quiet, but I'll take it over the alternative.  It's really weird not having Elder Bailey anymore.  Everytime you take over the area, it just feels weird.  But I'm glad that we get the extra boost of responsibilty.   So last week was a lot of the same stuff, but it just felt a lot more productive than usual.  We did get a bunch more potentials this week than usual and we had alot of contact with all of our investigators so that we have alot of potential appointments next week!  Finally!

It was weird saying good-bye to Elder Nielsen on Tuesday, but alot of fun eating at President's house.  It made me really sad that I wasn't going to be able to eat with him when I leave, but it was cool to be able to be there.  I also got to meet Elder Nielsen's dad so that was way weird, and that was my last dinner with Elder Bailey as well.  The next day was transfers and I spent the whole morning with Elder Sandstrom as we waited for our companions to come in.  Then we went and visited a referral Elder Nielsen had given me of a lady that had taken her name off the records.  That was an experience.  She just yelled and bashed the church the whole time and there's nothing you can do besides bear your testimony and apoligize for the way that she was treated.

That was about it for this week really.  Oh, we did have an awesome appointment with an American family in the Ward, the Hedquists.  They are sooooo awesome.  I love this ward so much.  I would say they're my favorite family in the ward, but there are so many people that I could choose it's really hard to pick just one!  But it was a lot of fun being at their house.  They lived right next to GG Veach's house a few years ago and when I told them where they lived, they're pretty sure that they were in the same ward as them.  So that would be cool.  But yeah so now that's my week!  Thanks for ya'll support!  Miss ya and love ya tons!!!!

Hej med jer,

How was your guys' week?  Things are going pretty good here.  We got some transfer news!  I'm getting a new companion Elder Jones.  Elder Bailey got called as assistant last week and moves up on Wednesday.  Elder Jones is a cool guy, way hard worker but hasn't even hit his year mark yet.  I feel so old!  In the ward the sisters are  9 months and 7 months old and then Jones is like 11 and then I'm almost 18!  Little bit of a gap.  But it should be fun.  To answer a bunch of those concerns with the letter getting sent back.  From what GG Veach described it made it to the mission office, but something went wrong when it got forwarded to my house.  I'll try and figure it out and get back to ya'll.  And sorry I did get my box thank you so much for it!!!!

This week was just like every other one.  We did have a bunch more appointments which was nice.  But hopefully things willll start turning around when Jones gets here.  We also had Zone Leader Council this week which takes almost a full day of prep and then another full day of the actual meeting.  It was a rough council though.  The zone is really really struggling right now.  We had only two baptismal dates (now only one because the other one got baptized).  And the zone's numbers are just overall getting lower.  President just really wants things to go really well before he leaves and we want to give it to him.  I'm trying to plan a program that will get the zone fired up!  So hopefully we can get the zone to raise its commitment level and efforts and send President out with a giant bang!

Otherwise, this week was pretty quiet.  We have an exciting Pday today because Elder Nielsen is back and going home tomorrow.  I love that guy to death, gonna miss him when he leaves.  So we're going to the castle where the queen lives and then we're going to play some football!  Hope you guys have a great week.  Love and miss ya tons!!!

Hej med jer,

How are you all doing?  Another week gone.  Elder Bailey's doing pretty good.  We taught a young girl from England this week named Maria.  She was way cool and it was the first time we'd had a teaching appointment in about two weeks.  So it was good to get out and get some teaching done!  It's been unbelievably slow getting new investigators and appointments with our investigators.  Hopefully it will start picking up now that it's starting to get nicer outside.  I feel really bad because you know the ZL's are supposed to be the model area and we're nowhere near that right now.  I don't know what to be doing different either.

So Tuesday, we had splits with Ballerup and it went pretty well.  It was such a trippy feeling to be back in the area and riding the trains and buses.  We tried to stop by Jack and Malene and came to find out that Jack went to Uganda two months ago and either hasn't been allowed back in or hasn't been allowed out of the country.  Malene sounded so sad and tired being with their twins alone.  Hopefully things'll work out soon.

Then on Wednesday I got officially the biggest shock of my life!  President Andersen got up and said that he had recieved a letter from the First Presidency saying that his mission had been changed from a 3yr to a 2yr.  So come 30 June, he'll be done!  So there will be only one group that will see president and his family from the start of their missions the whole way through.  The new guy's name is like Shawn D. Cederholm I think.  He's from Arkansas.  But I'm so disappointed that I won't be with president through the whole thing.  I was really looking forward to that.  I'm also disappointed because he has done sooooo much for this mission and turned it around so much only to leave it.  I feel like there is a wave of success that 's about to happen and he's not going to be able to see it.

So Wednesday was Specialized Training and Thursday was Leadership meeting so not too much happened.  Then it was a very quiet weekend.  This week we've got Zone Leader Council so that'll take some time to prepare for.  But hope ya'll have had a good week.  Love ya!
