July 25,2011

Hey guys!

Good to hear from ya.  Hope everything is going ok!  Had a pretty good week this past week.  Nothing too exciting.  We had splits with Roskilde and interviews.  Splits were fun as usual and interviews were ok.  We went to a baptism in Roskilde on Saturday.  It was the first baptism I've been to on my mission.  We brought an investigator from Iceland.  Before we went in we just told him we were going to ask him what he thought, and he gets all defensive saying that he's not going to get baptized.  I was like did we say that.  That is all this guy has done.  Every time we ask him to do something like read in the Book of Mormon or pray he's like I'll do it but I'm not participating in any of your services.  Whatever.  So I saw Kirsten and Per at the baptism.  They are getting baptized the 30th of July or 6th of August.  Mauler and I will probably baptize one each.  I had my first opportunity to apply a concept that I learned in Divine Signatures about contacting the first person who I meet after getting burned.  We had an appointment the other day and the guy wasn't there.  Turned out he was just late from getting back from Copenhagen, but the first lady I saw I talked to and she said that she wanted a Book of Mormon.  Not as miraculous as in the book, but I was grateful because it was our first successful contact in about 3 weeks.  (William and I have been reading Gerald Lund's new book Divine Signatures and he talks about this toward the end of the book.)

Today for PDay we're playing basketball in Søborg.  It's rained for weeks and weeks and weeks.  We've seriously only seen the sun about 4 times this month.  When there is no sun its kinda chilly.  I can honestly say this is the first time I've gone outside in July without a jacket on!   Transfers are in two weeks.

Sorry for another short letter.  Love and miss ya tons.  Hope you have a great week.

William
