July 3, 2011

Hi guys,

So kinda slow week last week with a couple of stories.  It was really hard to go out and work for some reason.  We were just in a funk for two days.  One really cool thing to talk about is that Jack and Malene, our investigators from Slagelse have moved to Copenhagen.  To give you a sense of how cool this story is let me just preface by saying that there are 6 areas that consist of Copenhagen and the surrounding area.  They moved into Brønshøj which is in Søborg's area.  Right now there are Sisters and Elders in Søborg.  They moved to the Elders area.  The Elders in Søborg are Elder Mauler and his companion.  I think its so amazing that he gets the opportunity to probably baptize them in his last two months.  Really of all the areas they could have moved to they moved to the area that the missionary who found them is serving in, and if they moved about 5 miles to the west, they'd be in my area.

So we thought that Kirsten and Per would maybe get baptized this coming Saturday.  They came to President Andersens fireside last night and apparently her cancer is way bad again.  President Andersen then offered to give them a blessing.  He asked Mauler and I to come with him and help.  We all went down to Presidents basement and President gave the blessing.  Weird, I can't really remember what he said in it I just remember there being a way special spirit that I could feel.  When he finished, Per stood up as if to shake our hands, but instead burst into tears and walked into a corner to compose himself.  Kirsten also started crying.  It was a very special experience.  They won't be getting baptized this week, but they are still way positive and have an incredible amount of faith.

Well hope you guys have a good Fourth of July.  We're having a district plus a couple others bbq at our house and since fireworks are illegal here in the summer, no fireworks:((  Love and miss you tons.

Giant rainstorm a couple of days ago.  It was so huge-wind, lighting, thunder and rain soooo hard it nearly flooded our house.  This is the walkway up to the house.
William didn't send a caption for this one so I will try to update it at a later point.
