Baptism

Kære familie,

How are you guys doing?  Our week here was so so, but Daniel and Melanie got baptized!!!!!!  It was so awesome, I'm sending a picture for you guys.  It was way cool to see the whole family dressed in white getting ready for the baptism.  It was another testimony to me that prayer, fasting and hard work, does in the end pay off!  Otherwise, it really was a quiet week.  We went by some less actives to invite them to some Christmas activities.  One of them that we met with let us in immediately.  She then proceeded to tell us without hesitation that her son had killed himself 3yrs ago.  It had hit her really hard.  She was just crying and I was having to do the thing that I am most terrible at.  Comforting people.  I really just feel totally awkward and don't know what to say in that situation, but I just shared a scripture about Christ and the Atonement and hoped it helped.  It was just way sad.

This week we have  a bunch of appointments.  AP Koop is coming on splits and we find out transfers.  I really hope that I move.  Even though there is a good chance that I stay at least until January.  I just feel that I have been here so long that I've done all I can for this area.  Especially with the baptism, I feel like it would just be a great way to leave the ward.  I'm also just burnt out on the area.  Almost 7 months is a long time to be in one spot, doing the same thing every day.  I don't know it is hard to explain, but we'll see what happens.

Sorry this email is so short, but nothing really happened this week, aside from the baptism, lol.  You'll have to tell Laine hi from me!  I can't believe he's home already.  Elder Hansen is going home next week, and it's just so weird.  Every group that goes home, the weirder it gets.  Anyway, love and miss ya'll tons!
