We've had a pretty good week! We have this investigator from Vietnam, and well she doesn't speak that much Danish. She's 78 and has lived in Denmark the past 20 years, but she is nearly impossible to understand. She comes to church every week and we meet with her every week. It's borderline hilarious how funny it is when we try to teach. Anyway she believes that we believe in a different Jesus because we don't have any sign of him being crucified and she also believes that Jesus helped the Vietnamese beat the Americans......
Elder Pitts has had a hard week medically. He needs new glasses so we went to get an eye exam and glasses will cost around 300 dollars and then he has an in grown toe nail so we went to the Doctor and all she did was give him medicine for the infection. So he's frustrated with that, but otherwise he's doing solid.
On Wednesday night we had one of our African investigators who played for the Ghana national team come to basketball. He smoked us even though he hasn't played in 7 years, but he wants to come again so that's good. Let's just hope he doesn't get his game back otherwise we'll be triply embarrassed.
On Friday we went to the really nice couple's house to do service. I clipped the hedge for 2 hours, while Sister Despain tried to talk my ear off about a bunch of stuff.
On Saturday, we really had an adventure. We went up to Brønderslev. It's a city way north of Aalborg. Anyway we were trying to visit a bunch of people that had gotten baptized in the past 3 years, old investigators and this lady that we contacted. Anyway we had to walk everywhere, and while we were there it started deluging!!!! It rained so hard for the next three hours while we walked around. We were so wet that it literally looked and felt like we had jumped into the fjord. It was miserable. And, of course, when we got on the bus to come back, it stopped raining. Anyway, all of the Book of Mormons in our bags got ruined and some other stuff got really wet, luckily nothing that important.
Well that was the week. Love and miss ya'll tons!
